Last updated: 30 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Archaions collects, why, and your rights over it. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be clear about how it is used.

1. Who is responsible

Archaions is operated by an individual sole proprietor (the "data controller"). For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected].

2. What we collect

Credit balance and transaction historyTo operate the prepaid-credit system and show your usage and purchases.
Payment informationCard payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details; we store only a Stripe customer reference and records of purchases.
Sequence data you submitProcessed to produce your classification results. See "Your sequence data" below.
Basic technical data (e.g. IP address, request times)To operate the service securely, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse.

3. Your sequence data

Sequence data you upload or paste is used to perform the classification you request. Processing may occur on our servers and on third-party GPU compute infrastructure we use to run the classifier. We use this data only to provide your results and to operate the service. We do not sell it or use it to identify individuals. Where results are computed, intermediate data may be held transiently for the duration of processing and then discarded; we do not intend to retain your raw uploads longer than necessary to deliver results and support the service.

4. Legal bases (for users in the EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the service and accounts); our legitimate interests (to secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve reliability); consent where required; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Service providers we share data with

We use a small number of trusted third parties to operate Archaions. They process data on our behalf for the purposes described:

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.

7. Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account (see your rights below). Some records (such as transaction history) may be retained where required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including hashing passwords, encrypting traffic over HTTPS, restricting access to systems, and processing payments through a PCI-compliant provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in (a session cookie). It is necessary for the service to function and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

11. Children

The service is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by notice within the service.
